If you need to sell a product that is not currently in your system, Quickvee POS allows you to quickly add the product through the register. You can complete the basic details immediately and update the rest later.
Steps to Quick Add a Product:
- Navigate to the Register
On the Quickvee home screen, tap Register to open the sales screen. - Access the Quick Add Product Option
- Tap the three lines in the top-right corner.
- From the dropdown menu, tap Quick Add Product.
- Enter Product Details
A form with three fields will appear: - UPC: Enter the product's UPC, or tap Generate UPC to let the system automatically create one for you.
- Product Name: Enter the name of the product.
- Sale Price: Enter the price at which the product will be sold.
- Set Tax Options: Select the appropriate tax option for the product.
- Add the Product: Tap Add to add the product to the cart.
- The product will now be saved in the system and appear in the cart for checkout.
- Complete Product Details Later: To update additional details for the product (e.g., category, stock, description), navigate to the Inventory screen and edit the product there.
By following these steps, you can quickly add a new product during a transaction and ensure it is ready for sale.
