View orders in the web backend

The Orders module in the Quickvee web backend is how merchants review every transaction their store has processed. The module is split into two tabs by where the order came from.

Access path: Merchant Backend → Orders

The two tabs

Tab

What it shows

Orders (In-Store)

Every transaction rung up at the POS register by an employee. Read-only from the backend — used for lookup, reporting, and auditing. Refunds and voids are handled at the POS.

Orders (Online)

Every order placed through your online ordering site — pickup orders customers will collect at your store, and delivery orders going out to their address. Online orders have a fulfillment workflow (Accepted → Packing → Ready / Out for Delivery → Completed) that you drive forward from this tab.

Refunds and voids are not performed in the Orders module. In-store orders are refunded at the POS register. Online orders are cancelled here but the refund itself happens in your payment gateway (USAePay, etc.).

Common scope across both tabs

Both tabs share:

  • Date range with quick presets (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days) plus manual Start/End picker

  • Search bar that accepts Order ID, Card Last 4, Customer Name, or exact Amount

  • Sortable columns across the entire filtered range (not just the visible page)

  • Show Entries selector controlling page size with pagination below

  • View Details link that opens a full order page with Items, Order Summary, Taxes, Other Fees, Grand Total, Tenders, Loyalty Points, and Customer Details panels
